WP2 – Buildings and Transport

Work Package leads: BPIE (Buildings) Climact (Transport) 

The Buildings and Transport work-package will provide a characterization of the EU building stock and vehicle fleet in terms of volumes, energy consumption and associated emissions. From this characterization the fuel efficiency and transport efficiency and the impact of low-carbon technologies in the building sector will be modelled.

Attending to the overall architecture of the EU calculator model the work-package will define the boundary conditions of technological change for the transport (e.g. changing transportation infrastructure, vehicle efficiency, changing individual and industrial transport modes) and buildings (e.g. energy performance, equipment usage) sectors.
