The EUCalc Transition Pathways Explorer
The Transition Pathways Explorer provides a simple interface to the EUCalc model. It is a tool that allows users to run their own emission scenarios and build pathways to a net-zero carbon future at European and Member State level, directly visualising its effects.
Based on the ambition level you choose for each sector, the Transition Pathways Explorer projects the energy and material use, greenhouse gas emissions and the consequent societal, environmental and land use impacts.
Since the target audience for the Transition Pathways Explorer comprises in large part decision makers that have limited time budgets, the tool is designed to be as simple and user-friendly as possible, both with respect to content as well as with respect to its presentation. The full complexity is readily accessible at the appropriate place in the user interface; details are dynamically shown on demand.
