EUCalc will be in Madrid for the COP25. The Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (EASME) and Directorate-General for Research and Innovation of the European Commission are organising a session on ‘Technologies transition for industry’ at the EU Climate Technology Day, as a side event at COP25, and EUCalc will be presenting with two other Horizon 2020 projects (INNOPATHS & REINVENT).
The event will offer the opportunity to discuss technology pathways for decarbonisation of energy intensive industries (steel, plastic, paper, cement, etc.) as well as strategic recommendations for climate change mitigation policies in order to reach carbon neutrality by 2050 in the most important economic sectors of the EU.
The session will also highlight the challenges in achieving climate neutrality, and main drivers for innovation in energy intensive industries when implementing EU long term strategy.
