PlanUp, a consortium of 12 civil society, local authority and research partners across Europe, is keeping a close eye on the development of the National Energy & Climate Plans (NECPs) in particular in five countries: Spain, Italy, Poland, Romania and Hungary. Promoting good sectoral practices and fostering dialogue, PlanUp’s mission is to ensure strong and inclusive energy and climate plans to drive rapid decarbonisation in Europe.
As part of the project PlanUp has set up a European tour of workshops and roundtable discussions, all with the aim to promote effective local, regional and national decarbonisation policies. EUCalc partner Climact is taking part in the workshops with Benoit Martin presenting the role the European Calculator being developed can play in evaluating national climate policies. Next stops? Rome on the 12th of March, Warsaw on the 20th of March and Budapest on the 26th of March.
