Module design
The social indicators were defined in the expert consultation workshop “Social impacts of climate change mitigation in Europe” that took place at the beginning of December 2017 at the Delft University of Technology (Details on the workshop can be found here). So far mortality due to PM2.5 has been agreed to be used as an indicator to be implemented in EUCalc. Therefore, the model will be based on particular matter from air pollution and mortality rate.
Data & Assumptions
- Current PM2.5 concentration per country
- Projected PM2.5 for 2050 per country
- WHO data related to PM2.5 mortality rate per country
- Population projection per country
Implementation
Timeline
The work-package timeline is summarised in the figure below and highlights key milestones and expected outcomes.
